ChunXian's book introducing him to our family

We decided when we found a traveling family this august , to hurry and send a photo book to him. We hadn't received our CCAA preliminary approval but we had sent over our LOI letter of intent to adopt. So we felt confident that all would go as planned. Thankfully a family traveling over to get their twins from Guilin offered to take this book, and even purchase some gifts to give him for us. They later took some pictures of him which I will post later.
The following are our  pages introducing him to our family. The top  picture is one they  sent of his gifts they bought with money I had sent them. I think it was about $20 which to me was amazing for what they got.
Fortunately my daughter studied Chinese in school last year and was able to write some for the Chinese characters for the book identifying who was who.
Also we were fortunate enough or find a book for $2 at the local outlet craft store that already had the pages scrap booked for you and all I had to do was to insert the pictures of our family.

Gifts for boys ideas anyway you might use

We have always sent a recorded message on a toy cell phone that I buy at Target (Parents brand) and tape over the button so they can't change it. We usually say something in Chinese (Ni hao Chun Xian. Mama and Baba ai ni, hao bu hao? Mei guangxi, Tai Chen ) and, that we love him and ask him , ask how he is, and say our names etc. Our kids have loved this , and it has always been a popular choice. I believe the traveling family delivered that to him for us along with the album. I took photos of what we sent in the package and then later I took the rest of these things over when I visited in November 2007 with Molly's foster family. As it turned out, her foster mom worked for the post office and was willing to send the gifts for me . So I left her with  some money to cover the postage cost. Each month that sweet mother has sent a package to the orphanage for my boy "Matthew."  I am lucky  to know each month that they  have received it.

Pictures taken at the end of July 2007 of Jiang Chun Xian

A wonderful family from Missouri who adopted one of Matthew's friends was able to see him in August. Another family traveling in July was able take photos of him for us. I had to laugh with delight at the number of photos they were able to take. They even got us some video footage as well! Cool!
It was so exciting as we were working very  hard to finish our paperwork for the dossier to China. That just made us all the more anxious to hurry and get our dossier done and go and get him.
In order from bottom to top since I guess that is how the photos load.
1."A little Attitude",
2. Him and his girl friend "Rainey" adopted to Utah in early December. We are hoping we can keep up the connections.
3. Intelligent face
4. Muscle Man "Look how strong I am!" All boy isn't he?
5. The Charmer, what a lady's man! Boy, are he and Molly going to have fun.
Reportedly the many  other girl friends of his who have been adopted like him, EVEN though he is a boy.
6. The hair do , spiky bangs and tail. This is going to go as soon as I can get my hands on him. Ugh I hate tails on boys it isn't flattering in my opinion!
7. The tail which goes!
